李忆莙，祖籍海南文昌，槟城出生。现为马来西亚华文作家协会副会长。1970年开始写作，作品主要以小说散文为主，至今已发表在国内外的文学创作逾二百余万字。曾获首届“马来西亚优秀青年作家奖”首届新加坡“方修文学奖”散文首奖，2012年第12届“马华文学奖”。长篇小说《遗梦之北》获评选为2012年亚洲周刊十大中文小说。2014年受邀为中国四川驻省作家。
