1) Users are only allowed to use the lounge for meetings, discussion groups, shooting or group projects.

2) Please leave your shoes properly on the shoe rack before entering the room.

3) Please make sure that all lights are switched on when the lounge is used.

4) Please bear in mind that making noise, singing, eating, sitting on the table and sleeping is strictly not allowed.

5) Please keep the lounge clean and tidy and remember not to leave any rubbish behind when you leave the room.

6) Please arrange the tables properly before you leave the room.

7) Please note that each group of students are allowed to use the lounge for a maximum of two hours per day.

8) Any user who violates this rule shall be barred from using the lounge facilities.


1) Open Shelf Collection

This collection can be on loan to staff and students.

2) Reference Collection

This collection only can be referred by users in the library ONLY.
e.g. dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. and also RC including books. The books' call number is preceded by a capital R.

3) Red Spot Collection

This collection is indicated by a red spot on the cover of the book and can be loan out for a few hour and has to return back before 5.30 p.m. on the same day.
E.g. Past year examination papers, student project, Industrial Training Report, thesis, etc.

4) Audio Visual Collection

Students can view and use the Audio Visual materials in the library only, while lecturers can borrow them for teaching purposes.
AV collection includes cassettes, VHS tapes, diskettes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.

5) Periodicals Collection

This collection refers to the periodical publications purchased and subscribed by Han Chiang University College of Communication library such as journals and magazines.

There are 1 computer for OPAC and 4 computers for users to surf the internet.

6) Discussion room

Discussion room are available for group study and discussion.

7) Reading area

Users usually use this area to read periodicals, newspapers and other reading materials.

8) Carrels

The Library provides carrels for private study.

9) Locker

Users may keep their belongings in the locker except valuable items.

10) Prayer room

This room is reserved for male Muslim staff and students only.
Female Muslim staff and students can use the Female Staff prayer room located in Block B.
