Story of Sergeant Hassan, a Malay soldier, set in the World War II in Malaya. Hassan grew up with Aziz and Buang who often find trouble with him. Salmah fell in love with Hassan which made Aziz even angrier. When the Japanese attacked Malaya, Hassan fought bravely with his comrades and even rescued Aziz when he became a prissoner of war. In the meantime, Buang decided to betray his own people and joined Japanese as a Kempetei, and used his position to harass the village people and forced Salmah to marry him.
